As we get ready to deck our halls with festive spirit, let us extend a warm welcome to the new Vicar of SMCB - Fr. Stephen. Do read the special message from our Bishop Mar Jacob Angadiath. In this edition, the spotlight is on Tony Achan. We bring you life moments, testimonials and images in a farewell tribute to Achan.

The Youth Corner brings you the Gen Z perspective on the 2020 US elections and an interview which will be a guide to the aspiring medical students in our community. We are also excited to announce that Neha Joseph has joined SMCB Times as part of the High School Reporter Program.

Goodbyes are hard! It is even harder with social distancing. However, that did not stop the SMCB community from coming up with a thoughtful and creative farewell for dear Achan, in the guise of a surprise!

Kajal ( Kajal Maxelino Anthikat) delivers a beautiful rendition of Celine Dion's version of the hymn "O! Holy Night". The healing and inspiring words of hymn reminds us about the light brought by the birth of Jesus.
Kajal is a mom of one, who works as a data scientist at IBM’s Weather company. She turns to music and cooking as creative outlets to disconnect from her daily balancing act, and let her brain relax.
About 3 years ago, Kajal moved to the US with her family from the other corner of the world in Perth, Western Australia. Together with her husband Maxelino and son Jonathan, she lives in Massachusetts. As a family they enjoy globe-trotting and consider themselves to be global citizens.

Neha Joseph is a Junior at Franklin High School. She loves to sing and is part of the church choir. Neha aspires to pursue a career in the field of medicine, with the hope of becoming an allergy specialist in the future. The Malayalee community means a lot to her. Neha wants to open a dialogue about some of the issues that are seen within our communities. She is hoping to create a safe space for the younger children to be able to talk freely about problems/issues they face. Neha hopes to lend a guiding hand to them.
