Dear Rev. Fr. Stephen Kanipillil and the parishioners of St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Church, Boston,

Happy to know that you are bringing out an ‘Online Monthly Bulletin’, to celebrate the 10^th Anniversary of the parish community. Even though I served the community only one year (2016) as the vicar, I keep vivid and sweet memories. It was my first life experience with snow!!! I found an active and vibrant faith community with people of compassionate hearts. Thanks to the loving and caring people of faith, I found myself part of the community without any difficulty.

My nostalgic memories of Sunday Qurbana with active participating people are still bright in my mind. The highly organized faith formation (CCD) program, beautiful choir, organizations’ activities, Sunday lunch program, cards play, chenda melam etc. are some more to name.

2016 was an year of accomplishment for the community. I remember the starting of 11th and 12th grade CCD program, the replacement of the Church Roof, the payment of the first installment of our Church Mortgage, printing and publishing the first official Church Calendar, organizing the youth for a service in the soup kitchen, volley ball tournament etc. All these were accomplished because of your wholehearted cooperation and the able leadership of the Trustees and the parish council members. I was blessed to have these people as my collaborators.

I am sure that the Boston community is a mature faith community with able leadership. I am sure that this community will grow in splendor and grandeur and will be a modal community for people of faith. My heart is filled with joy and want to sing with the psalmist

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony.

It is like fine oil on the head, running down on the beard,

running down Aaron’s beard over the collar of his robes.” Psalm 133:1
