Hello and welcome to the SMCB Times Youth Corner! As the Times slowly grows with each issue, and our audience grows along with it, we wanted to create a space geared to our youth community, and give youth members of our parish a chance to talk about what matters most to them. Our goal in creating this youth corner, is to provide a platform for our youth to highlight their achievements, projects, and ideas, as well as give them an opportunity to talk about some of the most pressing issues that affect us all today. Through the creation of the youth corner, we hope that members of our parish both young and old can see what the youth community is up to, learn from their perspectives, and help keep all of us a bit more connected during these trying times. Please enjoy our first piece below, which takes a look at an issue affecting the youth community in our parish and across the globe - the reopening of schools and universities in the wake of this global pandemic. We hope you enjoy our first edition of the Youth Corner, and as always we are so interested to hear what you have to say, please feel free to email us at smcbtimes@googlegroups.com with your submissions for the Youth Corner!

On why she joined SMCB Times: "I joined SMCB Times as an editor because I love the idea that, though we may be so far from one another physically, unable to catch up after mass while eating Kanji, we can turn to this newsletter to hear directly from members of our community. Whether that be by trying out a new recipe someone shared, or gaining a few new gardening tips, I loved the idea that this would be a platform where we could all stay connected to one another!"

On why he joined SMCB Times: "I joined SMCB times because I wanted to give back to the church community by highlighting stories about us that the community needs to hear.
