As we are going through unprecedented times, our plan is to conduct the CCD Classes online starting September 2020 through the end of December 2020. We will discuss the plan for 2021 as we get closer to the start of the year.
With online classes, they are many logistical items to consider such as:
CCD Timing
Availability of Teachers, Students and Parents
Teacher's Training ( Software & online teaching)
Software
Regulations around online platforms
You all will receive one or more questionnaire(s) to help us plan this year's CCD Program. Your response and participation is critical to help us continue our catechetical mission.
Summer Training:
This year the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago has organized an online Summer learning series for CCD teachers. Many relevant topics such as the use of Digital Tools, Making Faith Formation interesting for our kids are being covered. Our teachers have been attending these sessions on Saturdays to prepare for the coming year.
New Teachers:
We are thankful to all our teachers who were part of the team this past year. We have 4 more positions to fill this year. If you are interested to serve, please contact Johnson or Don.
As always, please do reach out to us at any time with your questions, concerns or suggestions.
