Welcome to the September Edition,
The SMCB community was a hive of activity this past month, with the summer picnic, Revive conference, visit by the Bishop and so on. We bring you lots of pictures. Marian Mothers group and S.M.C.C bring their updates and announcements in this edition. Join us in welcoming a new family into our fold. We have a few announcements as well including details of the upcoming Onam celebration, High School Reporter program and a birth announcement.
As September marks the beginning of another year at school or university for so many of us, we wish you all the best for the year ahead!

On August 14, we were graced by the presence of Bishop Mar. Joy Alappatt and Rev. Fr George Elambasseril.
On Aug 20th, the community came together for the SMCB 2022 Annual Picnic. There were a lot of activities including Zumba, games, cooking together, volleyball and much more.
The S.M.C.C. vegetable garden continues to provide us with a bountiful harvest. The group has been raising funds by conducting weekly lelam of the harvest. The vegetables from the garden were used for sambar preparation for the parish picnic!
Marian Mothers invites everyone to join them in Rosary recitals, as they start the Ettu Nombu. Details inside!
The much awaited renovation of Parish basement and Rectory basement flooring have started in full swing. The work is expected to be completed by end of this week.
Our youth led by Alina and Alfonse Thopuruthu attended REVIVE - the Syro-Malabar Youth Northeast Conference (SYNC) conducted by DYA in New York.
Neha Joseph, our Youth Reporter brings us a report on REVIVE. The theme for the conference was Revive, centered on the passage below: “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.” 1 Peter 5:10
The Diocese level Bible Quiz - Dei Verbum is being held again this year. The 1st round of parish level quiz will be on December 5. Questions will be from the Gospel of St. John.

Welcome to Job George and Teena Devassy. Job & Teena live in Shrewsbury. They have 2 children (Evin -10 yrs and Essa - 8yrs). Job works in Infosys and Teena is a software engineer at UST.
The Safety and Compliance team of our Church, will be conducting safety training for the parish community on September 25. This training is a requirement for all those who are involved in any volunteer activities within the church. These trainings have a validity of 3 years from the date of attendance of the training. We encourage all parishioners to participate in these safety training sessions.
