Our Parish community celebrated Onam, for the very first time! We bring you SMCB Onam Kazhahakal - pookalam, sadhya, big smiles and everyone decked up in festive wear. The Faith Formation program celebrated the start of another catechism year and conducted events during September. We bring you news and updates from Marian Mothers, S.M.C.C and Facilities team.

On 18th Sept, St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Church of Boston celebrated Onam for the first time!!
We served more than 300 meals, freshly prepared by our Parishioners in their homes and Parish kitchen.
It was a joyful event with the masses turning in festive wear to savour the variety of Onam delicacies - over 20 types of dishes!
Our Parish will be organizing the 10 day Rosary week, starting on October 21st. There will be Qurbana at 7:00 PM (weekdays) and at 10:00 AM (weekends), followed by Rosary.

Updates from Marian Mothers about their recently concluded Ettu Nombu, plans for the Rosary Devotion month in October, ideas for re-starting the seniors club and finally a call for help after their tryst with "The Mint" at the mint patch !!..
The S.M.C.C. vegetable garden continues to provide us with a bountiful harvest. The group has been raising funds by conducting weekly auction of the harvest.
An upcoming initiative is the "After Church Programs". Don't forget to register your children for these programs! They are also organizing a "Ping-Pong" tournament.
We are excited about the updates from the SMCB Facilities team.

SMCB conducted the first CCD summer internship program this year. Angeleena Grace Marshal (Grade 12) and Adrian Benjamin Marshal (Grade 9) were our first interns! They designed and developed a brochure about our Faith Formation program. This brochure will be made available in our church.

You may have seen this banner in our church. The Catechetical theme for this year is Gospel of St. Luke 24: 31-32. Our faith formation program will be focusing on the Word of God and the Holy Eucharist this year.
On Catechetical Sunday, Mr. Tison Thomas, Secretary, Eparchial Catechetical Council from St. Alphonsa Syro-Malabar Catholic Church, Baltimore conducted the teachers and parents orientation.
We are thankful to Mr. Tison for taking the time to share the importance of faith formation, with our community.
Welcome to the new Class Teachers for CCD year 2022-23! Three of them are new catechists, taking this up for the first time while two teachers are back after a break! Lets get to know them!
On Oct 8th, Saturday, we will be having a full day music training program, for current choir members and children who are interested to join the English choir. All students, Grade 6 and up are welcome to attend.
We are in need of more instrumentalists and male vocalists.
