The COVID restrictions could not dampen the Christmas spirt. Christmas was celebrated virtually this year with all the COVID protocols in place. The memories of the grand 7 day celebration of St Thomas feast was still fresh in the parish mind and there was an enthusiasm to make the Christmas celebrations equally impressive.
The church was decorated with stars, Christmas tree and nativity scene. The altar was adorned with poinsettias and we were good to go.
The attendance to the service was limited to 30 families who signed up. The service was live streamed on YouTube and Facebook.
It was Stephen Achan's first Christmas with the parish and he gave a motivating homily on embracing the humility and simplicity of the shepherds who were the first to hear the news of Jesus' birth.
The prayer units came together with carols to be aired before the Christmas Qurbana.
