Most of us have questions and doubts about our faith. When we look to Scripture, we can see that even Mother Mary and St. Thomas had these doubts. On Sat Nov 20, 2021, some of our 6th-9th graders had the opportunity to attend the Way of Holiness program and bring some of the deeper questions of their heart to Jesus. ~ Jilu & Roger Chengat

The topic of the afternoon was around the theme of seeking for truth. This was the first WoH gathering and participants quickly realized that this was different from other events that they had attended. They each received an invitation to embark on the Way of Holiness, a journey to seek the truth in their lives.

The young people were challenged to have the “courage to face the truth” as seen in the movie “Wonder woman 1984.” Participation in an interesting obstacle course asked them to examine their own journeys, questions and receptivity to help along the way.

Getting help makes it easy to get through obstacles.
They were asked to relook at the questions and doubts of St. Thomas, identifying his deeper questions for Jesus. During adoration, they identified their own deeper questions to bring to the Lord.
The afternoon ended with great food, a bonfire and s’mores. The three hours flew by with good faith conversations, fellowship and food!
There are plans for the WoH program to continue every 2 months over the next year focusing on different themes and activities that are relevant to young people. In the future, there are plans for a volunteer outreach, social gathering, retreat and support of external resources. More info will be made available in the months to come.
