Dear sisters and brothers in Christ, these days, many of us feel discontent, discouraged, and distressed over the pandemic. How can we find hope during these troubled times? I came across this WhatsApp post and found it very thoughtful during these days when almost everything is under lockdown. It goes like this:
“Everything is not locked down
Sunrise is not locked down
Love is not locked down
Family time is not locked down
Kindness is not locked down
Creativity is not locked down
Learning is not locked down
Conversation is not locked down
Imagining is not locked down
Reading is not locked down
Relationship is not locked down
Praying is not locked down
Meditation is not locked down
Sleeping is not locked down
Work from home is not locked down
Hope is not locked down
Cherish what you have.
*Locked down is an opportunity to do what you always wanted to do.”
Friends, we need to remember that tough times do not last but tough people will. The impossible is possible through faith in God. With the mercy of God, goodness can flow abundantly.
Today if you are discouraged, God is inviting you to see the sunny side of whatever is happening in your life. He is inviting us to lock down love, truth, hope, happiness, relationships, prayer, family time, and joy in our life, in our families, by trusting God to lead us through.
While we continue this difficult season of coronavirus pandemic, it’s important to remember that we are people of faith. As such, we acknowledge that God brings kindness, love and hope, even from such an unsettling crisis affecting the entire human family. I hope this day finds you well despite the many unsettling news reports. We are truly blessed and will be sustained through these challenges. As an attempt to continue ministering to families at this time, I would like to share with you many of our digital resources that may be helpful to you.
